I have always been
fascinated by financial markets, and have been an active participant for more
than 15 years. Like most beginners, I rode the highs and lows of investing
early on. Chased the multi-baggers, had my share of hits and misses.Only a few
years and several unmet goals later, did I realize the importance of managing ones
finances.
Managing our own
finances or what is known as Investment Management is so vastly different
than just chasing returns. Investment
choices and building portfolio is NOT a one-size-fits-all thing. It varies from
person to person, age to age and lifestyle to lifestyle. Even for the same person it usually varies at
different stages of his/her life.
A good financial plan
should take into account all these, the appetite for risk taking, the need for
planned expenses and commitments that must be met at various stages of life. As
you have probably guessed, drawing up a financial plan is not just a one-time
exercise. As the world keeps changing,
as new financial products come into fore, as your needs / wants / opportunities
/ returns keep changing, the plan must be reviewed regularly to stay relevant.
It is my duty to not
only help with these decisions, suggest products and strategies that meet your
financial goals but also to ensure that you understand fully and are comfortable
with every single financial decision that you take.
It was always my
dream to help people manage their personal risk and build long-term wealth but
my job in IT didn’t lend itself to that.
So, on the advice of some of my senior friends in finance who know my
passion for helping people, and backed with a Masters in Business
Administration and Certificate in Financial Planning, I decided to quit my job
and devote full time to helping a wider array of people – and towards this end,
also joined the erstwhile JGK Consultants who I believe have the right platform
and tools for providing complete financial solutions.
Honesty is a very
expensive gift; don't expect it from cheap people said the 'Oracle of Omaha',
Mr. Warren Buffet. That will be my primary commitment to my
clients. My objective is to meet people such as yourself in the early stages of
your career, understand your dreams, needs and financial commitments, know your
risk appetite and accordingly chart a financial plan unique to your needs for
long term investment choices and wealth management.
I have
spent considerable effort in taking the lead for SRS investments in
our agency; take my clients along too with the financial education
which are well appreciated. I have also helped my clients relocate pension
fund from NHS UK to approved QROPS schemes in India to secure their retirement
needs.
